Living in the Bay Area, we are fortunate to be able to hike all year round. But, what enhances this serene experience even more is when we are able to take our Furbaby with us....especially for an off-leash hike. The picture above was taken on Seaview & Big Springs Trail in Tilden Regional Park in Orinda and we had stumbled upon in it on our AllTrails app (a must-have that we will talk about later).

The trail is a moderate in terms of difficulty and a 4.3 mike loop. You can park at the Quarry Trailhead parking lot if you arrive before 11 am for a morning hike. Later in the day tends to get busy so you may have to drive down the road to find a spot! You will find gorgeous views of SF and the Bay Bridge along the way so be sure to stop and take it all in! Since it is dog-friendly, keep in mind your Furbaby will probably see many other dogs along the way. If he or she is more timid/aggressive, you can gage to see if having a leash on is necessary!

You can download AllTrails for iOS devices —->

AllTrails: Hike, Bike & Run by AllTrails, Inc.

We resort to this app for a number of reasons:

1) Shows you navigation while you are on the trail so you can avoid getting lost and taking the long way back :)

2) Has useful filters such as dog friendly, horseback riding, wildflowers etc

3)  Indicates where to park nearby

4) Provides helpful tips

5) Users also give additional insight on their favorite stopping points, level of difficulty, etc.

We will continue to share our favorite hikes and off-leash trails with you! Share yours by commenting below!

Have a wonderful weekend,

Furbaby & Foodie
