Blog Recipes We Love: Strawberry Bread
Being a Banana Bread fanatic, I was skeptical around the idea of Strawberry Bread until I tried this recipe from the blog entitled, Two Peas And Their Pod. Pro tip: The greek yogurt gave the bread an extra moistness while keeping it fluffy and light. It is a great alternative to replacing the less healthier sour cream or mayonnaise...which ultimately means more bread and less guilt for you! I swear by Greek God's Plain Greek Yogurt for any type of cooking.
The instructions are incredibly easy to follow and ingredient list is not extensive at all. Prep is minimal and allow an hour for baking. If you haven't made this at home before, I would highly recommend at least trying it once. My Strawberry Bread is on Day 5 and still as fresh as it was when it came out of the oven! If you do not have much of a sweet tooth, do not worry as this Strawberry bread comes out with a slight tang which I loved! Maria did call for topping with a Turbinado sugar for added sweetness, but since I did not have any, I chose to make without. No regrets and I am hooked.
