Stable Cafe: A Dog-Friendly Dining Escape in San Francisco
We are always on the hunt for great dog-friendly brunches throughout San Francisco and discovered a charming spot in the Mission District called Stable Cafe. Restaurant owner Thomas Neapolitan pays tribute to his roots with old family recipes while also displaying his love for Latin American Cuisine. Fresh and sustainable ingredients are sourced from his local farm in Petaluma!
When you arrive, order your meal inside and then head out to the patio. (There was a short line but did not take longer than 5 minutes for us!) The outdoor space is what sets this venue apart with its luscious garden sanctuary. You will notice shortly after you enter, that you are dining under leafy Plum trees and it is highly encouraged to sample a few during your visit. Furbabies are well taken care of with water bowls placed throughout the restaurant and patio. Lastly, communal seating adds to its laidback vibe and makes it a great spot not just to eat, but also to grab a coffee and curl up with a good book.
Our brunch favorites were the Chilaquiles and Huevos Rancheros by far and the Mimosa gave you more than enough champagne for every penny. We believe the ratio was 4:1 and we are not upset about it! ;) The menu was very reasonably priced with dishes ranging from $8-$11 and portion size is the perfect size for one person. We had waited 10-15 minutes before our entrees had arrived, so service is pretty speedy. Did we mention no wait to be seated?!
We would recommend Stable Cafe for any day of the week and will surely be back for the lunch menu and some remote work sessions. Imagine how productive you would be in this serene oasis?! This restaurant served to remind us that there are a multitude of hidden gems around the city and we will do our best to uncover these for all of you as we go along...
The best kind of brunching is with your dog,
