Prep time: 10 min

Tandoori Hummus

Ingredients

  • 1 can garbanzo beans
  • 2 Tb. tahini
  • 2 Tb. greek yogurt
  • 2 Tb. extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 lemon squeezed
  • 1-1/2 tsp tandoori masala

Spinach Mint Hummus

Ingredients

  • 1 can garbanzo beans

Directions

  1. Peel all chickpeas to ensure your hummus comes out smooth. You can do this by warming up your chickpeas in a bowl with water (enough to cover) in the microwave for 30 seconds. Once they are cooled, pinch the chickpea and rub off its top layer.
  2. Combine all ingredients for the tandoori hummus in a food processor until creamy. If your mixture is running too thick, add additional greek yogurt to create an even consistency. Swirl with a spoon and fill with olive oil for garnish. Repeat for the spinach mint hummus recipe as well.

Present it with pita, carrots, bell peppers, cucumubers, radish, etc ---there are so many possibilities! I have to say my favorite was the spinach mint hummus because of its refreshing taste, counteracting the post bloating effect! Keep in mind these hummus recipes can be a great addition to your turkey wrap for lunch. Who said clean eating had to be a snooze fest?!
