Our Picks For A Weekend In Palm Springs
Our last minute road trip to Palm Springs was everything we needed and more. From vibrant food to poolside chillin', we have you covered in our list of all things Palm Springs! See what I did there? Cheesy jokes aside, we returned from our dog-friendly getaway with tummies full and hearts relaxed. Check out our recommendations of where to stay, what to eat, sip, and see!
I do not think it is possible to praise our stay at Avalon enough! This gorgeous secluded boutique hotel is one that you will want to call home for just a bit longer. Their mesmerizing interiors, perfectly manicured walkways, and luscious pool cabanas offer a slice of heaven. We had impeccable service whether it was dining, fresh linens, or requesting items we had forgotten at home. One must note that the accommodation is also dog-friendly, so go ahead and bring your furry friend too! The property has three pools (where we spent majority of our days)- two for adults only and one specifically for families. If you are laying by the pool, make sure to order the 'Young Coconut + Straw'...one of the best I have had yet!
This poolside restaurant located at the Avalon Hotel offers California cuisine and was perfect for brunch. We opted for the Acai Bowl (mmm...so rejuvenating) and the Breakfast Sandwich. Both were delicious, part of me is still wondering about those Ricotta Pancakes. Someone, let me know how they are!!
This trendy sushi and whiskey spot was the highlight of our weekend and is an absolute must for a weekend in Palm Springs. For appetizers, start with the eclectic Jalapeño Poppers stuffed with crab and you will be so grateful you did. Innovative and so satisfying! When at Sandfish, you must have the Sandfish roll which is topped with fried Potato flakes....oh my god, my mouth is watering just thinking about it! Check out their house originals for cocktails, we had a variety of ones the bartender selected from the menu and were blown away. My only regret is not having pictures of the entrees for you, but I suppose sometimes, you have to be (eat) in the moment!

When it is a blissful 115 degrees outside, dining al fresco may sound miserable. However, the cooling mists at this beautiful restaurant located at L' Horizon provide a relaxing retreat to enjoy their creative craft cocktails! Our service was especially memorable with our waitor giving us a handwritten note of his local favorites--incredibly thoughtful!!! Check out his recommendations in our gallery below. We second Truss & Twine!
Keep cool and stop by Kreem for a double scoop or coffee float. This cozy and cute ice cream joint also has a variety of vegan flavors as well! Despite not being vegan, I loved their refreshing Pear and Guava flavor and snag the non-vegan Mango Lassi scoop while you can! We were utterly impressed by the local gem, now please clone yourself and send to Bay Area.
It is pizza and pastas galore at one of the most romantic restaurants in Palm Springs. Head to Birba for date night and sit in the intimate leafy patio with hanging string lights. On a low-carb diet but still craving for some Italian indulgence? Replace your pizza with the Cauliflower crust and you are on your way to a guilt-free satisfaction. Our favorites include Nonna's Meatballs, The Homemade Classic, Lobster Ravioli, and The Birba.
Hope we made your getaway planning a little easier,
